Some of you may have already noticed, we just completed an update of the administration interface for managing your databases. It is now possible to:

  • manage user permissions per database: it was previously only possible with MySQL, but it is now also the case with PostgreSQL, due to its upgrade to version 9.0. The permission levels are: no rights, read-only and all rights;
  • manage options for base type: in particular, you can now create a PostGIS database without asking us to. It’s automatic; it’s better for everyone.

That is actually pretty much everything — though most of the work can not be seen: we have completely redesigned our system in a generic way to manage your databases, which will allow us to add more soon. As such, here is what will arrive:
